Since our wonderful group hike with Trish, Alex and Sage a couple of weeks ago, Buffalo and Tough Cookie have been getting more involved in Blue Hill Observatory and Reservation just south of Boston. Dan started a new job there last week, guiding school field trips on the reservation trails, and both Dan and Janelle were on hand over the weekend to take part in the Blue Hill Open House Day.

We set up a table near the observatory and took part in a whole day’s worth of events, presentations, hikes and tours. We were amazed at the amount of hikers and cyclists we saw over the course of the day, and happily met them all! (And gave out quite a bit of Grape Nuts Fit snacks as well.)

We’re amazed at how much there is to explore there, and we’re already planning some winter snowshoe trips to check out other parts of the reservation. Incredibly, there’s 125 miles of trails at Blue Hill! Stop by their website and check out all this amazing place has to offer. Let us know if you’d like to hike with us some time!

In other news, the book is doing well and Buffalo and Tough Cookie have been enjoying their tour. We’ve met some amazing and incredibly supportive people. Our next public event is at 6:30pm, Tuesday, Oct. 29 at Goffstown Public Library. In the meantime, many of you have written to say you’ve enjoyed the book. Thank you all! And hello, and thanks for joining to all our new fans as well. We love to hear from you, and are always grateful when you take the time to write a review on Amazon. That means a lot!

So, onward into Fall! The adventures continue.
